Welcome to AnchorYouth

Jesus is our refuge - He is the core of our ministry philosophy.  Our mission is to make Christ-followers out of middle school and high school kids, with the hope that by the time they graduate they are totally sold out for Christ, our refuge.

Because AnchorPoint is a place for the church-challenged, we make sure our events are understandable for kids who probably didn’t grow up with a lot of church background.  This usually means a lot of fun, relevant lesson illustrations, plenty of time for games and fellowship at our weekly meetings, and lots of events for kids to come to and invite friends to, from bowling nights to weekend camp outs.

We do, however, take the Bible seriously.  All of our kids are taught that the Bible is absolutely true in everything that it teaches, and we take special care to incorporate Scripture into all of our lessons.  We also take our roles as leaders and role models very seriously.  We view youth leadership as a 24 hours a day, 7-days-a-week job.  This philosophy helps us ensure that we form close, personal bonds with all of our youth kids, and that they know they can count on us for anything.

We hope to meet you soon if you’re a teenager checking out this page, or if you are a concerned parent.  Until then, check out the "Meet the Staff" page to learn a little more about us.  As always, may the Lord bless you and keep you!  Thanks for visiting!
