Local Outreach - contact to learn more

It's our mission to love God and our neighbors. Here is how we are striving to do both...

Got Your Six - For first responders, medical personnel, veterans, active-duty military, and those who support those who serve. Open house with light snacks in our Annex from 9-11 am on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Friends Feeding Friends - A group of friends joined together to lend a hand to those in need. We prepare meals to help those in the Albuquerque area, as well as for two orphanages, an elderly home, and teen homes in Juarez and Madera Mexico.

Memory Support Group - Starting January 2022

Dave Ramsey financial classes offered throughout the year

Back to School - Our annual event to support local schools and families by providing lunch and school supplies.

Care Portal - We partner with churches in our area, Sandavol County, and the CYFD to help families in need. You can sign up on the link provided to join us in our efforts. There is a video about it from a supporting church perspective below.

Care Net - Pregnant? Know someone who is? Care Net has answers.  We believe in Care Net so much that have given part of our six acres and a building to them for $1 a year  Many of us volunteer there. Appointments are free, and they offer everything from free pregnancy testing to ultrasounds, STD testing to long-term support and parental training. Here are some events we do to help them out as well.

Bundles of Joy - This is an event to raise donations of Baby Products for Care Net Pregnancy Center in Rio Rancho.  We stay in front of Walmart for 7 hours.  As people approached we ask if they were willing to help struggling families and babies in the area?  If they are willing, we gave them a shopping list that also has info on the churches.  Additionally, we gave a thank you note to donors with more information on the back.

Bridge Builders – We train couples and individuals to become a bridge for Care Net clients who have spiritual interests and would like to come to church.  The concept is to meet them at Care Net, develop a relationship, then meet them at church and help them get acclimated and meet folks.  This seems to be morphing quickly into a more broad-based mentoring and support program.

Walk to the Manger - We communicate with local schools and other organizations to help out families in need at Christmas – usually single moms, or families with a major medical issue that has put someone out of work. We then get a list of the needs and put up mangers on a board in late November. People buy what is listed on the back of the manger and bring the gift on a designated Sunday in December, and then the gifts are distributed.

International Outreach

Compassion International – We currently have more children supported through Compassion than we have families coming to Anchor Point! This is one cool ministry. Check out the children’s packets if you come to church on our info table or their website.

Maranatha Children's Home in Haiti - We do an annual missions trip or two to Haiti - usually supporting a summer English Camp - support children there, and have even built a house and put a well in the mountain village of Pierre Brizard. We also have events throughout the year to help support Maranatha. You can sponsor a child for $50 a month here.

Operation Christmas Child – Most of us know this ministry as Christmas Shoeboxes. Click the link to learn more, or be at Anchor Point this November and experience it first hand!

Harvest Children’s Home in Cameroon - Harvest Children’s Homes (HCH) is an orphanage project of Cry Cameroon Ministries [USA] established to rescue and give hope to orphaned children whose parents were victims of AIDS, Malaria, and other devastating illnesses.
